Bat Yam

Bat Yam Israel, located just a few miles from Tel Aviv, is home to a variety of sea, beach, land, and air sports. You can try many of them free of charge during July and August at various places on the beach and along the promenade. Besides many of the more commonly known sports like gymnastics and beach volleyball, there are also unusual ones like Pétanque. Pétanque is a form of boules (French for the collective name of games played with metal balls) where the goal is to throw hollow metal balls as close as possible to a small wooden ball called a cochonnet or jack, while standing inside a starting circle with both feet on the ground. It’s a challenging and fun way to spend time after you tire of the beach.

Nine Bat Yam Beaches to Enjoy

There are nine beaches in Bat Yam including:

  1. Yerushalayim,
  2. Sea Palace,
  3. Hasela,

  7. Marina,
  8. Hadekalim, and
